That's what our main character Staff Sergeant David Miles is faced with in the story when he's order to mark one family. If they don't take the mark they're considered a terrorist and need to be killed on site.

I want to get this story out there, because it deals with never backing down from your beliefs, don't believe everything you hear, and don't judge, unless you have all the facts and evidence in front of you.

The Marking is a story idea I've had for over six years now, but the thought of this story has been in my head for a very long time. I remember being a kid and watching a movie with my mom about the times during revelations. All I remember was how these people were being hunted down for their beliefs and killed. It remind me a lot of World War II and what the Jews went through. Having heritage that goes back to that, I wanted to make something like that, but I thought what happens if it takes place in the future, after the rapture. What would the government due? How would they explain millions of people disappearing? I figured it made sense to blame terrorist. Who really is a terrorist?
